LaTeX2ε is a quite popular system among academic journals in mathematics and physics. However, since Elsevier, BioMed Central (BMC) and some others accept a manuscript written with LaTeX2ε and provide their original style and template files for submission, medical researchers can use LaTeX2ε in their submission. For example, the Lancet, one of the best five medical journal in the world, accepts LaTeX2ε manuscript to be submitted.
